2 taken to hospital after crash with group of motorcycles

CANYON COUNTY — Idaho State Police are investigating a four-vehicle crash that occurred at 11:19 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Lake Shore Drive and Pump Road in Canyon County.

A 2015 Honda Accord was traveling eastbound on Lake Shore Drive. A group of motorcycles were traveling westbound on Lake Shore Drive when a white 2003 Harley Davidson attempted to pass the other motorcyclists.

The motorcycle crossed into the eastbound lanes and struck the Honda Accord. The driver of the Honda Accord swerved into the westbound lanes and collided head-on with a maroon 2010 Victory motorcycle. A black 2023 Can-AM Ryker, driven by a 49-year-old from Nampa, then struck the Honda Accord. All vehicles came to a rest at the intersection of Lake Shore Drive and Pump Road.

The driver of the Accord, a 47-year-old woman from Highlands, California, was wearing her seat belt. The driver of the Victory motorcycle, a 33-year-old woman from North Platte, Nebraska, was taken by air ambulance to a hospital. The driver of the Harley Davidson, a 34-year-old woman from Boise, was taken by ground ambulance to a hospital.

The intersection was closed for approximately three hours.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
