Tyrese warns he could be arrested for collusion by ex-wife and judge

Tyrese Gibson recently revealed that he could be arrested at an upcoming court hearing in connection with his ongoing alimony dispute with his ex-wife.

Over the weekend, the Grammy Award nominee announced that he would be in court on Monday morning (September 9) for a hearing regarding his legal battle with Samantha Lee, whom Gibson married in 2017 but announced their separation in December 2020.

The California native took to social media to express his belief that the judge hearing the case, Kevin M. Farmer, and his ex-wife, Samantha Lee, are conspiring against him due to a conflict of interest with Lee’s attorney.

“At 9am Atlanta I might be arrested in court,” Gibson wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post. According to the actor, Lee’s attorneys, Adam Gleklin and William Anderson, are close friends with Farmer, who he believes could seek retaliation for the singer appealing Farmer’s dismissal of the case.

“WE ARE APPEALING ALL OF HIS JUDGMENTS AND HAVE ALREADY TRIED TWICE TO HAVE THIS JUDGE REMOVED FROM THE BENCH,” he wrote Sunday. “The second time we tried to have him removed from the bench. He even denied his own request to be removed…imagine that???”

The singer also accused Farmer of “illegally” violating his prenuptial agreement with Lee, which he said was “detailed and specific,” and of increasing his alimony payments from $3,600 a month to $10,690 a month simply because the judge “felt like it.”

“It’s pretty obvious they hate me but I have to remind them and everything about my life and my success. I’ve worked my butt off since I was 14 to get here,” he added. “#FamilyLawCourts are the WORST FOR FATHERS.”

In a subsequent Instagram post, Tyrese continued to lament his issues with his ex-wife and possibly being arrested for the first time in his life. He also discussed his belief that the law and the justice system favor women when it comes to legal battles between women and men.

“If you were born a man, you go into a courtroom and you understand very well that there is a set menu that says, ‘You were born a man, f**k you.’ That’s what the set menu says,” he said.

However, Gibson maintained that despite all the trials and hardships of promoting his new album, he remained in good spirits. Beautiful painand film, 1992“I’ve been laughing, smiling, having fun doing my interviews. My vibrations and my energy have been up and I’ve been here quietly and calmly in some capacity to combat these attacks,” the crooner insisted.

Gibson added that he believed he should not be subjected to such treatment given the terms of his prenuptial agreement with Lee and expressed his desire to be left alone by Lee’s legal team. “Why are Samantha’s lawyers just asking for all my bank statements? Why are they sending screenshots of my IMDB page?” he asked. “Leave me alone, man. I signed a prenuptial agreement for a reason.”
