Packers lose in Brazil, Jordan Love injured

The Green Bay Packers kicked off their 2024 season on a Friday night in Brazil. The unconventional location and time proved precious for the team most often cited as the biggest challenge to the Detroit Lions’ NFC North supremacy.

The Packers lost to the Philadelphia Eagles 34-29 and may have lost starting quarterback Jordan Love to injury. Love suffered a lower-body injury late in the game, which has Packers fans concerned.

Love didn’t have a great night, and neither did Green Bay coach Matt Lafleur. The Packers opted for multiple short field goals instead of pushing for points when the Eagles defense didn’t work. The Packers also committed 10 penalties.

While everyone waits for news on Love, the Packers are 0-1 and host the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2.
