Thursday Night Football (Friday Style) Open Thread: Green Bay Packers “at” Philadelphia Eagles

You know, sometimes doing the same old thing in the same old places can get a little same old, same old; that’s literally how the saying came about. In times like these, it can help to mix things up a little. Tonight’s game is a perfect example of that.

Green Bay Packers at Philadelphia Eagles? That’s fine, I guess.

Packers/Eagles in another country? Now let’s cook.

Maybe play south of the border? And south of the equator?

When should we play this game? Thursday night? No…Friday night!

::audience gasps::

“He’s crazy,” they said. “It’ll never work,” they said. And yet here we are with a TNF game on Friday night in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the first NFL game in South America between the Packers and Eagles. As for the odds for that game, FanDuel Sportsbook has the Eagles as a 2.5-point favorite to win tonight’s game.

Here’s what you need to know to watch tonight’s game.

WHO: Green Bay Packers (n/a) vs. Philadelphia Eagles (n/a)

What: Thursday night football (on Friday evening)

Where: Arena Corinthians, Sao Paulo, Brazil

When: Friday, September 6, 7:15 PM CDT

Why: Because we’ve been without football for too long to ignore tonight’s game. And now it’s only two days until Houston Texans football starts again.

Channel: None (unless you live in Philly or Green Bay, you can only watch this game on Peacock).

Come on, Texans!
