Glendale fire near Bellevue reaches 400 acres

BELLEVUE, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Glendale Fire was reported Monday in the mountains west of Glendale Road, near Bellevue, according to Wood River Fire & Rescue.

Fire departments from Wood River, Bellevue and Sun Valley are currently on scene, Blaine County said. The Blaine County Sheriff’s Office is urging people to stay away from the area so crews can finish their work, according to a post on its Facebook page.

According to the Idaho Bureau of Land Management, the Glendale fire currently covers an area of ​​1,000 acres.

Officials have closed Glendale Road to everyone except residents, and no evacuation orders have been issued until 4:15 p.m. Monday, Hailey Fire and Rescue said. The department urged residents to stay informed about the situation and to leave voluntarily if they feel they are in danger.

Exact details of the containment are unknown at this time. The fire is currently under investigation.
