Actress Betty Bridges, mother of Todd Bridges, dies at 83

(Gray News) – Betty Bridges, known for her roles in “Good Times,” “ER” and “2 Broke Girls,” died Tuesday at the age of 83.

She died in Phoenix at the home of her son, “Diff’rent Strokes” actor Todd Bridges. She was in hospice care for her son.

Todd Bridges honored his mother after her death by sharing a tribute on Instagram.

Betty Bridges was born on August 1, 1941 and began guest starring on shows in the 1970s. She appeared on shows such as “Police Woman”, “Charlie’s Angels”, “Good Times”, “Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman”, “Wonder Woman”, “Quincy, ME”, “CHiPs”, “Diff’rent Strokes”, “Beverly Hills, 90210”, “Dallas”, “NYPD Blue”, “Scrubs” and “2 Broke Girls”.

A spokesperson for Betty Bridges confirmed her death to Deadline, but did not give a cause.
