Team News: Trossard returns against Brighton | Team News | News

After scoring from the bench against Aston Villa last week, Leandro Trossard makes his first start of the season against Brighton.

The Belgian winger takes to the pitch to face his old team, replacing Gabriel Martinelli. It is the only change to the team that defeated Villa last weekend. Deadline day signings Neto and Raheem Sterling were not registered in time to be eligible today, while fellow new signing Mikel Merino suffered a shoulder injury in training this week.

21-year-old midfielder Salah-Eddine Oulad M’hand is on the bench, along with academy product Tommy Setford – the 18-year-old goalkeeper replaces Aaron Ramsdale in the matchday squad. Academy graduates Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri are also among the substitutes.
