Transport Supervisor (Harare) at Zuva Petroleum

Zuva Petroleum is inviting qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of Transport Supervisor based in Harare, reporting to the Logistics Manager.

Duties and responsibilities

• Verifies and ensures that vehicles comply with all required legal and licensing obligations.
• Evaluate fleet performance and provide recommendations.
• Develops and updates fleet policies and procedures.
• Develops the annual Heavy Vehicle Transportation budget and presents it to the Logistics Manager.
• Ensures that vehicles are fit for purpose and remain roadworthy.
• Maintains vehicles in optimal condition and manages repair schedules.
• Monitors the vehicle through the tracking system and generates reports to ensure compliance with company policies and other relevant standards.
• Monitor transportation costs and ensure expenses are optimized according to budget.
• Verifies and ensures the integrity of final expenses in the accounting books.

Qualifications and experience

• Class One Mechanic (1).
• Diploma in Transportation or similar.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in transportation management functions or equivalent.

Skills and competencies:

• Ability to supervise and develop staff.
• Clear verbal and written communication and ability to prepare accurate reports.
• Ability to plan and organize according to job requirements.
• Ability to analyze and solve work-related problems to achieve correct results.
